About

Our mission

Africa Smart City Network is the first smart city certification network dedicated to African cities. We audit, certify and connect the continent's metropolises to accelerate their digital and sustainable transformation.

Our vision

By 2035, every African metropolis will have an objective smart city assessment and a clear transformation plan. The Africa Smart City label will be the continental reference for evaluating technological maturity and urban governance.

Our values

  • Rigor — A standardized and transparent evaluation framework
  • Sovereignty — Designed by and for African cities
  • Collaboration — Benchmarking and sharing best practices
  • Impact — Measure to act, certify to accelerate
